Refelctions for 2011 Quivira

Now that Christmas is over and New Year’s has passed
We here at Quivira can sit back and relax!
With hoopla behind us and pressures at ease,
We can now face our winter, the coming deep-freeze!
We can now pause and reflect on another good year,
With missions accomplished we can look in the mirror!
Quivira is better—our membership’s up,
Our future is brighter, we filleth our cup.
With new homes in progress our values abound;
We can look forward to another good round!
We have the best living of anywhere near,
Quivira to us is all very dear!
We have the amenities, surpassed by none;
We cherish them all, one by one!
Our dues still affordable, our benefits many;
What more could we want—can’t think of any!
Our golf course is challenging, could test any pro;
The hills and the valleys resound with, “Oh, no!”
Our lake’s a good fishery as we all can attest;
Our waters are known as the best of the best!
With walkers and runners traversing our curves
We have fitness aplenty with few frazzled nerves.
With a wave and a greeting, our neighbors salute;
Golf carts and autos reply with a “toot!”
We’re lucky to live here, Hooray, rah, rah, rah
Quivirans have discovered our own Shangri-La!
