OK, I admit it. As a lifelong educator I’m an unabashed believer in all things about our “Quivira kids,” regardless of their age, status or accomplishments. Each year as I write this graduation feature article, I am reminded how special each one of our young adult graduates has become.
This year is no exception. Our sixteen high school graduates have amassed an amazing list of local, state and national academic honors, music and sporting awards, all while donating thousands of hours of volunteer service to local schools, charities and churches. The graduates will be attending a diverse group of schools, including the Universities of Colorado, Dallas, Drake, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Christian, Pittsburg State, Rockhurst, Colorado College, William Jewel College, and Johnson County Community College.
Congratulations and best wishes are extended to each of our outstanding graduates.
