I write this as the air-conditioning is doing its best to compete with the oppressive heat and humidity outside. Trying to play 18 holes of golf and not overheat in this weather is an artform. Remember to keep drinking that water. NO sugary drinks or alcohol; it will only dehydrate you more. Not as much fun, but your health is the main factor here. Important medical fact: If you feel like you need water, doctors say you are already dehydrated. So, force that water, ladies. It’s good for you!
We do have some Match Play final results to enjoy though. Our Match Play 2017 Champion is Christina Gomer. She and Jody McCamish had a match that went down to the final hole for the win. For the Consolation bracket, Beth Hall persevered over Becky Johnson for that win. Congratulations to all who played and especially to the hard-fought winners.
